Decision Making: How to Activate Divine Decision-Making

October 5, 2025

Your brain has limits. God’s doesn’t.

Every day in medicine, you face hundreds of decisions. Each moment feels like a fork in the road—Decision A or Decision B. You’ve worked hard to build your knowledge, but what happens when that knowledge becomes overwhelming?

We’ve all been there:

✔ Sifting through protocols.

✔ Replaying decision trees.

✔ Reaching into the same 20% of information, even though you know so much more.

This is the Pareto Principle in action—80% of decisions come from just 20% of what we know. No wonder you feel fatigued. Decision fatigue isn’t a flaw—it’s a signal.

Take this example: a physician friend of mine told me he once spent twelve grueling hours combing through labs, imaging, and his mental library of textbooks, trying to piece together what was happening with his patient. His brain was maxed out. Finally, he stopped striving. He sat in his prayer chair, invited the Holy Spirit into the case, and within ten minutes of stillness, clarity came. The exact solution surfaced—not from his exhaustion, but from God’s omniscient wisdom.

The answer isn’t more thinking. It’s different thinking.

Here’s what I’ve learned:

➡️ You become a vessel.

➡️ You prepare your mind to receive.

➡️ You step into a parasympathetic state and invite the Holy Spirit into your thinking.

This isn’t mysticism. It’s medicine with the mind of Christ. It’s how we co-practice with the Great Physician—He takes your storehouse of knowledge and highlights exactly what’s needed.

This is a trainable skill. This is the ViaRayma approach.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge Him, and He shall direct your paths.”
